For Parents

It’s so hard to see your teen in pain and not know how to help. You can tell there’s something wrong, maybe it’s something you can point to like a death or a divorce, or something that you can’t quite put your finger on. Don’t wait until you’re at a crisis point. Your teen may benefit from therapy if you’re seeing any of the following:

  • Seems “down” a lot of the time

  • Isn’t acting like their old self

  • Worries constantly

  • Acts out with behavior or substance use

  • Is really hard on themselves

  • Seems to be stuck in unhealthy relationships

 I love working with teenagers who need support outside of the family. A few of the more commonn issues I work with include: 

  • Depression and anxiety

  • Gender and sexual identity

  • Navigating conflict

  • Feeling isolated, “weird”, or “different”

  • Body image and eating disorder

  • Substance abuse

  • Issues with friend and romantic relationships

  • Coping with losses or changes in the family

I work with teenagers, parents, and other members of the family as needed to help your teen move past issues. Together, we can help your teen get back to stability so they can be the healthy, happy person you know they can be.

For Teens

So much is uncertain in your life. Shifting friendships, uncertainty about the future, feeling bad about yourself, and complicated family situations are a few of the issues I talk with teens about nearly every day. Having a neutral person to listen and help you troubleshoot gives you the space to figure out a path forward and some strategies to make it through the day-to-day.

If you’ve been to therapy before I want to hear about what worked and what didn’t. If you haven’t, no worries—therapy is new to most of my clients and I’m good at making it user-friendly. I’ll give you lots of steps and pointers about what your options are along the way.
